Dr Oran Doherty, Regional Skills Fora, RPL Supporting Industry, Validating Work Practice.

Oran speaks to successful work based learning partnerships, situating RPL as a core component in this relationship. Giving insights not only on the needs of the person juggling new learning, meeting the same high standards in employment and family responsibilities, Oran identifies key challenges in working with increasingly competitive and ambitious employers. Trust, partnership, communications and acknowledgement of a need to shift for both education and training cultures and that of the employer are key to delivering success. RPL is a key enabler.
