Call for Contributions eucen Conference 2018 Bergen, 06-08 June

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce officially the Call for Contributions for the 50th eucen Conference in Bergen, Wed 06 – Fri 08 June 2018. The title of the conference is:

Times of Transition –
The role of University Lifelong Learning

Our conference wants to explore the future role and opportunities of ULLL through the following three main categories:

1. Professional transitions

• Impact of university continuing education on career and educational transitions
• Adult counselling as a useful tool for professional and in life transitions
• Recognition and validation of prior learning

2. Personal transitions

• Identity and personal agency
• Community engagement
• Citizenship education
• Local language education

3. Digital transitions

• The role of the educator
• Engaging lifelong learners online
• Learning online in later life
• Creating digital content

Abstracts will be accepted until 16 March 2018. Please visit the conference website to download the full Call for Contributions. Abstracts must submitted online from the new eucen Studies website. Go to the “Current Call” section and fill in the online form there.

We will welcome full papers until 25 May 2018. Please indicate in your abstract that you want to submit a full paper and follow the guidelines for submission of papers available from the “Current Call” page too. All accepted papers will be included in the eucen Studies volume that will be published before the conference at the eucen Studies website.
