WEBINAR: Moving Forward with RPL, Advancing the Conversation

On Friday, 19th April 2024, the RPL Practitioner Network welcomed over one hundred new and experienced RPL practitioners to an online webinar to review the recently revised RPL European Guidelines for validating non-formal and informal learning (3rd Ed.) . The Network is very grateful to Andrina Wafer (QQI) who gave a comprehensive yet whistlestop tour of RPL policy at a national level and Dr Deirdre Goggin (MTU) who  introduced the revised Guidelines and what they ask of today’s practitioners.
Attendees then had the opportunity to engage in group discussion as reflect on some of the key questions which the Guidelines ask of us, specifically:
What are the best ways to place the individual at the centre of the RPL process? Give examples
What are the enablers and barriers to RPL for the individual?
What are the enablers to the implementation of RPL systems for organisations?
Thanks to all who attended and made it a thoroughly enjoyable event. If you missed this event you can watch back through the event recording below or review the slide deck.
